2. Information We May Collect
Depending on the features you use, DocHub may process the following categories of information.

DocHub may access documents and files that you intentionally select, import, scan, create, edit, convert, sign, or otherwise process through the application.
These files may include PDFs, images, Word documents, spreadsheets, and other supported document formats.
DocHub does not access files on your device unless the application or operating system grants the required permission and you initiate an action that requires access.
2.2 Camera Information
If you use the document scanning feature, DocHub may request access to your device camera.
Camera access is used to capture documents and images for scanning, processing, OCR, or document creation.
DocHub does not continuously access your camera or record video in the background.

Your documents may contain sensitive or confidential information. DocHub is designed to process documents only when necessary to provide the functionality you request.
Where processing can be performed locally on your device, the document may remain on your device and may not need to be uploaded to our servers.
However, certain features, including optional cloud synchronization, online OCR, AI-powered processing, or third-party services, may require document data to be transmitted to an external service.
You should review the applicable service information before submitting confidential or sensitive documents to online processing features.
5. OCR and Document Scanning
DocHub may provide OCR (Optical Character Recognition) functionality to extract text from scanned documents or images.
Depending on the implementation of the feature, OCR processing may occur locally on your device or through a third-party processing service.
If a third-party OCR service is used, the relevant document or image data may be transmitted to that service solely for the purpose of providing the requested OCR functionality.
6. AI Assistant and Chat with PDF
DocHub may provide AI-powered features such as document summarization, document question answering, and "Chat with PDF".
When you use an AI feature, selected document content or text may need to be processed by an AI service in order to generate a response.
We recommend that you do not submit highly sensitive, confidential, or legally privileged information to AI features unless you are comfortable with the applicable processing arrangements.
AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies and should not be treated as professional legal, financial, medical, or other expert advice.
7. Digital Signatures
DocHub may allow users to create, save, and apply electronic signatures to documents.
Signature images or signature-related data may be stored locally on your device or, where applicable, within an enabled cloud account.
Users are responsible for protecting access to their device, account, and saved signatures.
